Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture...

Also known as an Acupuncture Facelift or Cosmetic Acupuncture, Facial
Rejuvenation Acupuncture is an ancient treatment utilized by the Empresses and
Emperor's concubines as early as the Sung Dynasty (960AD - 1270AD).

Much more than a cosmetic procedure, Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture is a
rejuvenation and revitalization process designed to make the entire body look and
feel younger.  Based on the principles of Oriental Medicine, specific
acupuncture points are chosen to enhance the movement of Qi (energy) within
the body.  These points are chosen according to the individual's underlying
health and energy imbalances which contribute to the aging process.

This treatment can erase as many as 5 to 15 years from the face with results
apparent after just a few treatments.  Effects last 5 to 10 years.  Fine lines may
be entirely eliminated and deeper wrinkles diminished.  Under eye bags can be
reduced, jowls firmed, puffiness eliminated, droopy eyelids lifted, double chins
minimized, and reduction of stress evident in the face, such as the "furrow" in the
glabella region between the eyebrows.  This technique,
referred to as "Ultimate
Facial Rejuvenation" and
taught by the expert in the field, Virginia Doran, L.Ac.
takes 1
1/2 hours to administer, as it is more detailed than the traditional Mei
Rong technique commonly taught in China.  Western skin is thinner as we age, and
this technique addresses these issues.

Other benefits:  Increased collagen production, moisturized skin of both the face
and body, increased blood and lymphatic flow to the face, a brighter, more even
skin tone, increased muscle tone, tightening of the pores, brighter eyes, and an
improved hormone balance which helps improve acne as well as overly dry skin.
Stress and habitual expressions visible on the face are transformed, resulting in a
remarkably younger, calmer, and less worn looking face with which to greet the
world.

Best Suited For...

Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture is best suited for patients ranging in age from
the late 20's to the late 60's.  The best lifting affects are seen in the 40 to 60 age
range.

Treatment Details...

The treatment consists of approximately 10 to 15 consecutive sessions.  This
number is determined by age, lifestyle, and overall health.  The effects become
most noticeable and lasting on or about the seventh session.  Optimally, the
patient should receive 6 treatments within the first two  or three weeks, then twice
per week to complete the series.

Each session takes approximately 1 1/2 hours.  In this time, very fine acupuncture
needles are inserted all over the body at specific meridian points, emphasizing the
points on the face.  Included in this session is Ms. Hutchins' own lifting facial
massage.  In addition, tiny hair-thin needles are inserted in to the lines and
wrinkles of the face to smooth the dermal texture and promote collagen
formation; a natural line "filler."  Other health concerns are addressed during the
treatment, which are a contributing factor to aging.

Maintenance sessions are necessary.  Again, depending on overall health, a
single maintenance session is suggested either monthly, bi-monthly, or with every
change of season.

A 45 minute "Quickie Line Fix Treatment" is an option available which is
effective for filling in fine lines and smoothing dermal texture.  This session does
not include any lifting affect or a traditional acupuncture treatment, yet it does
give a smooth, youthful glow to any face.

Why...

Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture is an excellent all-natural alternative to
cosmetic surgery, lasers, or injections.  There is no extended recovery period, is
far less costly, is virtually painless, and has no side effects.

Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture can benefit patients who have undergone
cosmetic surgery by supporting muscle tone, improving circulation, and promoting
overall health, thus slowing the aging process.

Contraindications...

Unfortunately, patients with high blood pressure (though Chinese Medicine can
lower blood pressure...see Ms. Hutchins), heart disorders, pacemakers, some
pituitary disorders, cancer, or bleeding or bruising problems should refrain from
this treatment.  Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture should not be administered
during pregnancy, during a bout with a cold or flu, current migraine headaches, an
allergic attack, or during an acute herpes outbreak.

The visible effects of Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture are an external physical
manifestation of how acupuncture has changed the inside of your body.
